One Lens for the Rest of Your Life

If you could only take one lens what would it be? What if you could only afford one lens? What’s your favorite lens? Well, my answer to all those questions is the same and my image library is proof of it. 70% of my image library was shot with a 24-70. It is the most versatile lens that covers most spectrums. If I don’t know what the situation will dictate, I bring the 24-70. If I only have room for one, it’s the 24-70. For capturing lifestyle imagery of hunters and the places hunting takes us to, the 24-70 is the do-it-all.

I’ve used both the 24-70 F/2.8 and 24-70 F/4.0 w/image stabilization. They’re both exceptional! If you’re planning on shooting in low-light scenarios, or you want that extra background blur, the F/2.8 is ideal. If you’ll be shooting stills AND video, consider the f/4.0 because of the image stabilization. It’ll make hand-held shots buttery smooth.

All shots below were taken with either a Sony or Canon 24-70.
